Oppi dam is situated at the foot of the majestic Swartberg mountains, 14km from Oudtshoorn en route to the world-famous Cango Caves. We invite you to come and enjoy Klein Karoo hospitality, the peaceful surroundings and discover nature all over again.

Oppi dam is located 14km outside of Oudtshoorn on the road to the Cango Caves in the picturesque Schoemanshoek valley. Oppi Dam is just 1 hour drive from Mossel Bay.

 
There is a restaurant on site which serves breakfast and light lunches.
 
Our facilities include 3 Chalets, 2 Cottages, 8 Campsites with own ablusion and 2 Campsites with shared ablusion. Each facility has its own braai.
We have a swimming pool and fishing and canoeing are allowed on our dam.

Oppi Dam Self-Catering Chalets - Each chalet has two bedrooms (1 Double Room and 1 Twin bed room) and sleep a maximum of 4 people. The chalets have been upgraded recently to include air-conditioning.

  • A breakage fee payable of R500 which includes a control for the gate. This fee is refunded.

Oppi Dam Self-Catering Cottages (2)
This new self-catering cottages addition has air-con, one with a double bed and the other twin beds and sleeps 2 people each. The rate for this cottage is R500 and R600 per night.

Oppi Dam also has a chalet C (sleep 6) with in-and outdoor braai, aircon, TV (when available), and 3 bedrooms.

Oppi dam is an upmarket, affordable camp site situated en-route to the Cango Caves. There are 8 Campsites each with their own ablusions with 6 persons allowed per campsite. R240 per night for the first two people and then R100 per person per night for additional people. There are also 2 camping sites for tents with shared ablusion facilities (Max 4 persons per campsite). The quiet surroundings are ideal for family get-aways. If you love nature - this is the place to be!

The campsite is absolutely stunning. The views around you are great and everything is neat and tidy. The camp is safe and is on route to all the major attractions in Oudtshoorn. The pool area has amazing views over the dam and the mountain. Such a beautiful camp with great hosts.

an amazing place to stay,friendly people ,Madelaine who is the manager went out of her way to accomodate us and to make sure during our stay that we where happy at all times. will definately be returning for a longer stay.
